Aquatic Instructor for Dogs

We are looking for someone with a passion for dogs and a love of water. We require our staff to be adaptable and eager to learn individual knowledge and skill sets. The ideal candidate likes to be physically active, has mental stamina, and is motivated by work. Our Aquatic Instructors are committed to exercising dogs to benefit their mental and physical health.
Qualifications of our ideal candidate
- Works well in and around water.
- Ability to work well in a high pace, on-your toes environment.
- Interested in working with various breeds and sizes of dogs.
- Experience working with or handling dogs, which can include your family dog.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and the desire to work as a Team.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Open to giving and receiving feedback.
- Ability to continuously stand, bend, squat, and handle big strong dogs.
Position Responsibilities
- Engage with dogs in and around the water with high energy and encouragement.
- Provide fun, engaging, and safe experiences for our dogs.
- Communicating with and deliver exceptional service to our human clients.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Follow safety procedures.
Position Details
We are looking for Full-Time or Part-Time and offer flexible scheduling (college students), Health Insurance, Paid Time Off and Matching 401(k).
About Doggy Paddle Aquatic Center for Dogs
Quality exercise plays a significant role in allowing dogs to live out their best lives. Doggy Paddle is here to help combat the hard concrete with low-impact exercise through swimming! Our indoor center located in Bucktown provides fitness swimming in warm, saltwater pools. Swimming engages muscles different from land activity and allows ease of movement to help strengthen and condition the body, giving dogs the highest quality of life!
